2016 Christmas Cards

It's that time of the year again when we start thinking about Christmas (we know it's early still, but hey we delayed this post until October!), so it gives us great pleasure to launch our brand new range of Christmas Cards. For 2016 we have nine brand new Christmas Card designs. With a range of festive, religious and festive fun cards, we're sure to have exactly what you're looking for.  We also have more stock of everyday notelet cards, the perfect way to say thank you to someone.

Purchasing a pack of OCD-UK cards is a fantastic way to support the charity and also to raise awareness at the same time. Some people even use our Christmas cards as a gentle way to start introducing the discussion about OCD to their family and friends. Whatever your reasons for purchasing our cards, every pack that you buy will help support the work of OCD-UK, so thank you.

Kim and her facing anxiety skydive

First published in the OCD-UK members magazine Compulsive Reading in April 2016.

By a strange quirk of fate, this weekend Kim Grant is jumping out of a plane to fundraise for OCD-UK, the perfect start to OCD Awareness Week! Kim shared with ourselves and her fundraising page exactly why she is getting involved.

For 6 years I suffered in silence and tried my very best to battle against ‘Pure O’, a living nightmare.

Old Prof rides 100 miles in a day for OCD-UK

Paul riding for OCD-UK

Earlier this week we shared Stuart's story about why he is Riding 100 miles for OCD-UK this coming Sunday. Another of those #FantasticFundraisers taking part in the RideLondonSurrey100 is clinical psychologist, Professor Paul Salkovskis (pictured) who shared with our website the reason for his taking part.

I began cycling four years ago, inspired by Ashley and Jo’s example riding London to Paris for OCD-UK. When Ashley was talking to me about the possibility of his riding Land’s End to John O’Groats, I thought “I could never do that”. When I thought about it, I felt a bit of a hypocrite….I am constantly telling others that, whatever they think, they can manage to succeed with even seemingly impossible targets. Ashley and I did that ride, then another even longer one two years later, and we met some fantastic people along the way as the “awareness” bit of those rides.

Good Luck team OCD-UK

This weekend Sorcha McCaffrey will be facing the epic and gruelling 10-12 mile Tough Mudder challenge in the North West of England. She is fundraising for our charity and told us exactly why she is putting herself through the challenge.

"To beat OCD I had to face my fears and running Tough Mudder is a similarly terrifying challenge - this 10-12 mile mud run involves jumping into ice water, scaling walls, crawling through mud tunnels and dashing through live electric wires. (Wait, WHAT AM I DOING?)
