Ride4OCD Reviews and Pics

During August, OCD-UK's Ashley Fulwood and Professor Salkovskis set off from Land's End, cycling 1100 miles all the way to John o Groats. You can now read all about their experiences and daily adventures and pics on the Ride4OCD website.

Ashley told us, "People's generosity of spirit and wallet continues to amaze and humble us, even now, some two weeks following the completion of Ride4OCD. We want to thank everybody that supported us with words of encouragement to sponsoring us, you all made a real difference to helping us achieve our aims of this tour, we raised over £6600 so far, and managed to do 14 pieces of local media OCD awareness coverage, so thank you so much to you all for your generosity, you helped us achieve our aims of Riding4OCD."

"We wanted to try and share our experiences with you, so below is a review for each day of our ride, along with some route stats and pictures from the day (more pics to follow in the next week or so)."

British 10k - Thank You Team OCD-UK Ladies

Huge thanks to Debbie (23885) and Janine (23886) who earlier this month braved the July heat and ran the British 10k for OCD-UK, and have so far raised a fantastic £630 between them.

Debbie, who also runs the Bexleyheath OCD Support Group explained why she was running for us. "Three years ago I had a complete nervous breakdown due to working and studying too hard. I had OCD as a child but managed to overcome it and was OCD free throughout my twenties and early 30’s. However, when I had my breakdown it came back with a vengeance.

Click the 'read more' link below the image for more of Debbie's story, and to see more pics from their adventure.

Great Manchester Run - Sunday 26th May

One of those taking part this year for OCD-UK is Lisa Marnell

We have a fantastic small team of runners participating in this years Great Manchester Run (10k / 6.6 miles) on Sunday 26th May, but we still have a few places left, and we really want to be able to field a team of 15 runners!

One of those taking part this year for OCD-UK is Lisa Marnell (pictured) and she explained why she is running for OCD-UK on her Just Giving fundraising page.

"Since the age of 8 I have been afflicted by this debilitating problem known as OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) which up until recently (I am now 32 years old) had impacted greatly on my quality of life and general enjoyment.
