Lobbying Policy Makers

OCD-UK aim to influence policy and decision makers across the UK
OCD-UK aim to influence policy and decision makers across the UK and make them aware of the needs and concerns of people with OCD, in order to improve their treatment and care. It is our belief that every person affected by OCD deserves, and is entitled, to receive the highest quality of treatment and care.

This is achieved through a range of activities including talking directly to senior NHS figures, lobbying politicians, working in partnership with other organisations, and campaigning through awareness projects.

In 2010 we lobbied senior NHS figures to make treatment options more flexible when accepting patients through national funding streams.

As the country’s leading independent charity for OCD we also work in partnership with other anxiety organisations to promote a better understanding of the illness. We openly welcome the opportunity to work in partnership with like-minded organisations who work in a professional and ethical manner.
