Introduction to the OCD-UK website

It is worth highlighting, right from the beginning, that the OCD-UK team have all had direct personal experiences of OCD, – myself included. We can all appreciate and understand how OCD can manifest itself, the horrid feelings that it provokes, and the debilitating nature of the disorder.

Therefore, one of OCD-UK’s key aims is to provide accurate information on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and the main purpose of this website is to do exactly that - to offer the reader a wealth of information on this illness. Whether you are a sufferer, family member, friend or health professional, this website aims to educate you on the signs and symptoms, how and where to seek help and the recommended treatment needed to overcome OCD. We aim to provide you with the necessary understanding needed to fight this disorder, in the hope that it can be beaten.

Overcoming OCD isn’t the easiest thing to do – but it is most certainly possible. With the correct treatment and support it is possible to eradicate all traces of OCD from a sufferer’s life.

We aim for this website to provide you with the relevant information needed to begin this fight against OCD.

Together we can make a difference.
