OCD & Christmas
Lauren: "People who experience OCD at Christmas time can feel a lot of pressure to seem or come across as happy, but inside they are exhausted. You are busy trying to hide your compulsions and bust panicking about what’s going to happen for the rest of the day. There is a giant mountain of pressure to be happy, but also, you’re left helpless because nobody wants to reach out on Christmas Day, because you feel that you are ruining somebody’s day by doing that. So, it’s an extremely difficult time.
If you feel or experience this it’s really, really, really tough, but you are not alone. Many people go through this so just remember you are not alone this Christmas, or any time of the year. Just know that this so going to get better. You are not alone. You’ve got this".
