Presentation subject

This presentation will outline the essential elements of a holistic OCD assessment as described in the "Global OCD Assessment" paper, with a focus on empowering service users to effectively navigate their treatment within the NHS. The session will cover:

Ideal Assessment Model: We will detail the components of a holistic OCD assessment, emphasizing the importance of various psychometric tools and a multidisciplinary approach. Although ideal, we acknowledge the challenges faced within the NHS system.

Empowering OCD sufferers: Attendees will learn how to actively engage in their assessment processes. This includes understanding what information to present to healthcare providers, essential questions to ask, and how to advocate for comprehensive care.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the holistic assessment process for OCD and learn strategies to enhance their interactions with healthcare professionals, with the view of  improving their treatment outcomes and access to service.
