2024 Virtual OCD-UK Conference - Welcome to Hotel OCD-UK, flying the flag for recovery!
Taboo obsessions in OCD – why OCD goes there and why it’s so intolerable?
The presentation will be facilitated by a member of the OCD-UK team.
Presentation subject
OCD has a tendency to latch onto themes that are inconsistent with our sense of self and our identities. Naming some of these themes can feel extremely difficult because of fear of stigma and shame. This talk will cover themes for taboo obsessions in OCD, the challenges these obsessions bring for those experiencing them and strategies that may help.
