The Great North Run takes runners on a fantastic 13.1 mile route from crossing the Tyne Bridge to finishing on the South Shields seafront as you experience some of the best support that the North has to offer. So join around 15 other fantastic OCD-UK fundraisers and soak up the atmosphere, character and spirit of the Great North Run this year.

The reason we change a registration fee
It costs the charity almost £1000 each year to secure our charity places, so because of this we have to charge a registration fee to ensure those taking part are confident in their decision to complete the Great North Run and fundraise for our charity.  However, we want you to be able to run for OCD-UK without cost, so for all those that do raise the minimum amount of £399, we will be in touch after the event to arrange to refund your £40 registration fee.   Should you register, and subsequently have to pull out due to injury or other reason, provided we can reallocate the place in time, we will refund your registration fee (less 10% administrative charge).

What’s the difference between a charity place and an own place?

Charity place:
If you have not entered the ballot in the official event, or if you did enter and have been contacted to say you were unsuccessful in the ballot results, then this option it for you. OCD-UK has guaranteed charity places and therefore by clicking ‘Charity Place’ you will be offered a guaranteed place in the event. We ask for a registration fee to be paid and once we receive this we will send you a welcome pack which will include an OCD-UK fundraising T-shirt.

Own place:
If you have entered the ballot in the official event, via their own website, and they have contacted you to say you have a place in the event, then this option is for you. By clicking on ‘Own place’ you are choosing to fundraise for OCD-UK, and you will be taken through the steps to create your fundraising account. OCD-UK will take some details so we can send you a welcome pack in the post with an OCD-UK fundraising T-shirt. This option is free because you already have a place and we don't request any minimum fundraising amount.

Thank You, we look forward to welcoming you to Team OCD-UK.
