OCD & Relationships
‘I always thought my OCD would hinder romantic relationships with others; with the theme of my thoughts causing me to be afraid that ‘I’ll mess it all up’ and ‘I’ll scare them away'. However, the case was rather someone as special, loving and understanding as my girlfriend to come along. She loves all of me, including my OCD, and we all deserve that and should never feel bad for craving that. There’s no need to, because you’re perfectly loveable and deserve to both see and receive that too. If they don’t love you at the peak of your OCD, they don’t deserve to love you through recovery.’
